Whose is this Song?
A Road Movie full of irony and biting humour
“One evening, in a small, nice restaurant in Istanbul I was eating with friends from several Balkan countries. There was a Greek, a Macedonian, a Turk, a Serbian and me, a woman from Bulgaria. Suddenly we heard a song which, amazingly, we all knew and each of us could sing in our own language. The experience of that evening left me no peace. For me, the song belonged to my Bulgarian childhood. But why did everyone insist that the song came from their home country? I decided to look into this question.” Adela Peeva
