Milad Khawam - Funeral on the Moon

Trumpeter, composer and producer Milad Khawam studied classical and Arabic music in his home city of Damascus. He came to Berlin in 2015 and has been an integral part of the Berlin music scene ever since. Khawam delights audiences as a soloist with orchestras as well as at the XJazz Festival Berlin and the legendary Fusion Festival. Funeral on the Moon was created during a month-long retreat in a forest, where the moonlight and the silence of the trees enveloped him. Inspired by the peaceful solitude, Khawam seamlessly combines trumpet, piano and electronic beats, each note a tribute to the fleeting moments of life.
