In the opening concert the trio Melisa Yıldırım, Swarupa Ananth, Yazz Ahmed and the Kayhan Kalhor Ensemble from Tehran thrilled the audience in the sold-out St. Marien Church.

Layale Chaker and Aftab Darvish presented works for choir and solo instruments together with the fantastic Cappella Amsterdam.

Simin Tander created a program exclusively for the festival, featuring the Norwegian pianist Tord Gustavsen. The Iranian singer and composer Golnar Shahyar left the audience delighted and speechless. Her poem and song "This is not my voice & Tell my mother she has no daughter anymore" got among the most moving moments of the festival.

Naissam Jalal presented her project "Healing Rituals" and Aynur returned to Morgenland Festival Osnabrück, playing with the Osnabrück Symphony Orchestra for the first time.

The Ensemble Modern presented the project "Transforming Now" with Rabih Lahoud and Florian Weber. Faraj Sulaiman made his premiere at Morgenland Festival Osnabrück.

The "Woven Sounds" project by Mehdi Aminian was dedicated to pattern singing - an ancient technique that helps to weave carpet patterns in sync.

At the final party at Lagerhalle, DJ Ipek once again got the dance-loving crowd in the sweating profusely.
