Frame Drum - Workshop with Harir Shariatzade
At this year's Morgenland Festival, the musician Harir Shariatzadeh will offer a Daf workshop. The Daf is the frame drum typical of Central Asia and Harir Shariatzadeh is an internationally renowned Daf player who performed at the Morgenland Festival back in 2005. She was born in Tehran in 1977, began playing the piano at the age of five, took singing lessons and discovered her love for the frame drum at the age of 14. Harir Shariatzadeh has performed at the Fez Festival in Morocco, the Saint Florent in France, the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris, as well as in Canada and America, among others. She lives in Spain where she teaches piano and Daf.

Participation is free of charge, length of the workshop is approx. 4 hours with a break in between.
